The Fragrance Shop team approached Modo25 in late 2024 to help boost the Organic visibility of the website after years of a reliance of paid media. The plan started with a comprehensive audit of the website, identifying technical issues, content gaps and link acquisition opportunities for the team with the view to make The Fragrance Shop the number one fragrance & beauty retailer online again in the United Kingdom.

The Solution

Modo25 identified several opportunities to expand and capitalise on traffic across The Fragrance Shop website. The areas identified we’re a prioritisation on occasion landing pages, making sure that the pages were set up well from a technical and content perspective. Another opportunity was with the cannibalisation across the website with a large amount of similar products in different sizes. The two areas formed the cornerstone of the organic search strategy, generating a consistent revenue stream for the business. Underpinning the website changes was also a link acquisition strategy, with a focus on partnering with relevant websites, to create content in demand from customers. This traffic contributed towards the team increasing market share in core markets such as Dior, Gucci, Chanel & Barbour amongst other brands. The results spoke for themselves, as we saw a 47.09% increase in core keyword set visibility.
